Today we have a soap packaging design project. The design is represented by a matt black packaging with a black glossy print which reflects the name of the product – Black African Soap.
Traditional graphic techniques were used to create one part of the meticulous design: A relief elaborately carved on a block of linoleum, scanned and then printed again on the bottle with the other text informations.
The entire process gives this product its utterly distinctive appearance.
What’s Unique: Design, art – part on the packaging was created by traditional graphic technique; Linocut. Then scanned and printed again on the bottle.
African black soap is a handmade soap in West Africa by women cooperative Mavis Asigre. It is made from the ash of locally harvested African plants, sheabutter and cocoa pods. The Soap have received hight review scores and is appreciated by many beauty consumers. There is no modern packing today so we chose to design a packaging that represents this precious product.
